The Commanders gave up nine sacks last weekend. Not only is their offensive line weak, furthermore QB Sam Howell panics when pressured. He holds onto the ball too long, and a lot of the sacks that happened last week were mostly or entirely his fault.
The Eagles’ defense led the league last season in sacks, and they still have talented defensive linemen. But they haven’t performed this season. They only have a 4.7% sack rate, which ranks No. 25. Hassan Reddick has yet to make a single sack. Eagles vs. Commanders is the second-best matchup in my weekly rankings and the fifth-best weekly matchup in PFF’s rankings.
