As we approach the beginning of the NFL season, I will be putting out fantasy football rankings and draft content as quickly as I can. Today I am giving you my top 62 LB rankings for redraft IDP fantasy football.
These are off-ball linebackers, so outside linebackers like T.J. Watt and Micah Parsons who slot as LB/DL in Sleeper leagues will be in my edge rushers rankings.
1. Foyesade Oluokun - LB1
The overall IDP1, Oluokun has led the league in combined tackles two years in a row. There is every reason to believe he will make 180+ tackles again.
5. Nick Bolton - LB2
Nick Bolton (overall IDP5) is only in in his third year, but he made 180 combined tackles last season, trailing Oluokun by only four, and he also made 2.0 sacks and two interceptions. However, his impact plays last season were somewhat of an outlier for him. He only made two interceptions and 4.0 sacks in his entire three-year career at Missouri. So last season could have been his ceiling, not his floor, for impact plays. You might argue for Bolton over Foye because Bolton is younger (and that is definitely true in dynasty), but I argue for Foye over Bolton in redraft because Foye has proven consistent.
7. Roquan Smith - LB3
It will be his second year in the Ravens system. In his first half year, after being traded from the Bears, he actually averaged slightly fewer tackles per game as a Raven than he did as a Bear.
11. Bobby Wagner - LB4
Wagner showed he can make impact plays if given the opportunity. The Rams used him to rush the passer much more frequently than the Seahawks ever did. And he made a career high 6.0 sacks and a near-career high 10 tackles for loss. Back with the Seahawks, you can probably expect a couple of more tackles and a couple fewer sacks.
18. Eric Kendricks - LB5
